A mans been arrested over the attempted murder of police officers in West Belfast in 2015.
Up to eight shots were fired at a PSNI vehicle in Rossnareen Avenue that November.
Two officers were in the car and escaped uninjured but badly shaken.
The 29 year old suspect has been taken for questioning.
Armoured plating and bulletproof glass saved the PSNI officers.
A man was critically injured after being shot in the head at the same scene one week previous.
Police were keeping a presence in the area as part of follow-up operations before the attack.
