A man has been killed in an early morning work accident in Warrenpoint.
It's understood he was working in Church street around 2am when the incident involving machinery occurred.
Road works are being carried out in the area.
The Health and Safety Executive for Northern Ireland said it was advised this morning of the death of a man involved in construction work at a site in the Warrenpoint area:
"Inspectors from HSENI attended the scene immediately and investigations into the incident are ongoing.
Our sympathies and thoughts are with the bereaved family at this very difficult time.”
