We're told a meat cleaver was among the weapons used to attack two men in Newtownabbey.
One was left needing stitches to his hand and the other received staples to their head after it happened early yesterday by the Bellevue Bridge.
The group of four men got away with cash.
Police have arrested and bailed a man over the incident.
PSNI Sergeant Emme Wallace said "It was reported that at 2:15am four men armed with weapons including a meat cleaver assaulted two men aged 22 & 19 before then stealing money from them.
"One of the men attacked required stiches to a hand injury and the other received staples to their head as a result of the altercation.
"One male has since been arrested but released on bail in connection with this incident.
"I would ask that anyone with information contact 101 quoting reference 262 of 19/11/17, or if they wish to remain anonymous Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
