Protesters will gather outside the Guildhall today to call for a public inquiry into the illegal Mubuoy dump.
Almost 1.5 million tonnes of waste has been dumped on the banks of the River Faughan.
Dozens of people are expected to gather in the city centre from 3.30pm this afternoon.
The rally will coincide with Derry City and Strabane District Council's Environment and Regeneration Committee meeting inside the building.
As well as an inquiry, organisers are calling for a full clean-up of the site and an end to illegal dumping in the region.
