A pickpocket theft in Larne has been described as "particularly despicable" by police officers.
They say a woman stole the victim's purse from her handbag which was on her shoulder as she was shopping.
A warning's been issued to keep possessions in sight, zipped or fastened.
It's believed this was an isolated incident.
