An investigation is underway in county Louth after a pipe bomb attack in the early hours.
Gardaí say an improvised explosive device was detonated at a house at The Orchard, just off Hale Street in Ardee.
No one was injured but damage was caused to the outside of the building and some cars that were parked nearby.
The scene has been cordoned off for technical examination.
