McIlroy surges up the Deutsche-Bank leaderboard with an impressive 66

McIlroy in contention, now only 6 off the pace at TPC Boston

Rory McIlroy's five-under-par 66 saw him climb 23 places in the Deutshce Bank championship to just 6 shots off the leader Paul Casey.  Casey, who started yesterday in second place, also carded a 66 to move on to -15.  

McIlroy sits alongside Justin Rose, Louis Oosthuizen and Tony Finau, while world number one Jason Day is 11 shots off the pace.

The Deutsche Bank Championship is one of four events that make up the FedEx Cup.  Th FedEx cup includes the top 100 players, who will then be whittled down to 70 for next weeks BMW Championship.  The Tour Championship will then take place at the end of the month 22-25 September.
