A householder was forced to cut off a lock and chain which had been secured deliberately to a gate.
This incident of anti-social behaviour occurred on the Lisbeg Road, Ballygawley.
Police say there may have been serious repercussions, had there been any emergencies that would have required the occupants to leave the house.
They also say this would have prevented the emergency services from gaining access.
Police want any witnesses to come forward.
This happened sometime between Saturday 29 October and Sunday, October 30th.
