Man charged with indecency offences following probe into dissident republicans in Co. Tyrone

A 33-year-oldman has been charged with a number of indecency offences.

It follows the discovery of images on mobile phones during the search of a property in County Tyrone on 27th January 2020.

The search was being carried out as part of an investigation into the activities of violent dissident republicans.

The charges include possession of Category A and C indecent images of children and possession of numerous images of extreme pornography.

The suspect is due to appear before Omagh Magistrates Court on 10th June.

As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
