Mid and East Antrim Council decision no to open Martin McGuinness books of condolence is being seen by republicans as a snub.
It's in contrast to another mainly unionist council, Causeway Coast and Glens Council who have opened commemoration books for the former deputy first minister and ex-IRA commander.
