Reaction to Mid and East Antrim Council's "No McGuinness Book of Condolence"

Mid and East Antrim Council decision no to open Martin McGuinness books of condolence is being seen by republicans as a snub.

It's in contrast to another mainly unionist council, Causeway Coast and Glens Council who have opened commemoration books for the former deputy first minister and ex-IRA commander.

SDLP Councillor Declan O'Loan has defended Council's move:

Sinn Féin will ask Mid and East Antrim Council's Chief Executive regarding the omission' on Monday.
