Police in east Belfast are appealing for witnesses in relation to a report of a collision involving a car and a female pedestrian which occurred yesterday evening (Thursday 12th December).
Sergeant Flanagan said: “Officers received and responded to a report of a collision at Hawthornden Way shortly before 5.25pm.
“Colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service also attended the scene.
“The pedestrian was subsequently taken to hospital, where she remains in a critical condition this morning (Friday 12th December).
“The road remained closed for a period of time yesterday from the Knock Road junction to the Belmont Road roundabout, but later reopened.
“Our enquiries are ongoing, and we would appeal to anyone who might have any dash-cam or mobile footage, or any information which might assist us, to get in touch via 101, and quote reference number.
