A young man with severe learning difficulties has been left badly shaken by a petrol bomb attack in Banbridge.
He was woken by the sound of his upstairs bedroom window smashing as he lay in bed, in Hillview Terrace, Dromore Street at around 5:30am this morning.
The incendiary device was thrown at the window but missed, and it set alight against the outside of it, and on the sill below.
A passing taxi driver raised the alarm, and emergency services were on the scene a short time later.
Local councillor Glenn Barr told Q Radio we musn't underestimate the potential destructive power of this behaviour.
The PSNI is urging anyone with information to come forward, on the non-emergency number 101 with incident number 354.
Alternatively you can speak to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
