The Candystripes sit seventh out of 10 in the League of Ireland table.

Institute kicked off the Danske Bank Premiership weekend with a vital 2-0 victory away to Newry City.

Gareth Brown and Joe McCready scored the goals.

It hauls the Derry/Londonderry side level on points with seventh-placed Cliftonville.
