50 year-old cyclist dies in early morning collision in Co.Down

The crash happened before 6 this morning on the Bangor to Ards Carriageway.

A 50 year old cyclist has died in a collision on the Newtownards to Bangor carriageway.

The crash involving a Renault car and a bicycle happened just before 6 o clock this morning.

The man was killed close to the Somme Heritage Centre.

No one else was hurt in the incident.

The road remains closed this afternoon.
