WATCH:Mum speaks out after christmas presents stolen from north Belfast home

Christmas presents have been stolen from a home in north Belfast.

Police say children's clothes, bicycles and tablet devices were among the items taken from the house on Kerrera Street.

We're told the break-in happened overnight Monday 18th December into Tuesday 19th.

Mairead McIlkenny says she can't believe it has happened to her.

The PSNI is now keen to get the gifts back.

In a Facebook post, Sergeant Ferguson said “It was reported to police that at some point between 11:30 pm on Monday and 7:00 am on the Tuesday entry was forced to the property and items including children's clothes, bicycles and tablet devices stolen from it. As these items were Christmas presents we would ask for the public's help in retrieving them.

I would appeal to anyone with information which could assist us with our enquiries to contact Tennent St on the non-emergency number 101 quoting reference 208 of 19/12/17. Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
