Vandalism at a local community centre has been branded "an attack on the community".
Extensive damage was caused to the building in Barcroft over the weekend and the community has been left to count the cost.
Windows were smashed and security protection damaged.
Councillor Liz Kimmins said, "I am saddened and annoyed that anyone would attack such a valued facility in the Barcroft area, causing such wanton damage.
"The Community Centre is at the heart of the area, and residents rely on the services and facilities they provide."
Police are investigating and have asked anyone with information to get in touch by dialling 101.
