LISTEN - Flat badly damaged following deliberate fire in Holywood

Police say a flat in Holywood has been "extensively damaged" as a result of a fire.

It is believed to have been started deliberately, at around 11.40pm in the Oakley Avenue area last night.

A wheelie bin was placed against the front door of the property and set alight.

Nobody was in the property at the time.

Andy McVeigh, NIFRS Station Commander says luckily, the flat was empty or the consequences could have been far worse:
