A man in his 50s has been left with injuries to his head, face and broken ribs during a serious assault in Belfast.
Three men allegedly attacked him in the Donegall Road area, sometime between 1am and 2am on Monday.
The victim was taken to hospital by the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service for treatment.
A short time later, police arrested a 39 year old man on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
He's since been released on bail pending further enquiries.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact them on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 74 of 05/11/18.
