Overall crime in the region has reduced compared with the same period last year.
That's from PSNI Newry and Mourne's Commander Paul Reid.
He says crime figures between April and September are down by around 8.5%.
In particular, figures for violent crime have dropped significantly.
He said, "The massive reduction in violence against a person and... that's around 14% or in real terms just over 200 less victims of violent crime."
