Police are examining an item found during a search in West Belfast.
They have shut the Upper Springfield Road again tonight.
Nothing was found during a security alert yesterday.
A spokesperson for the PSNI said: "Police are examining an item located during a search operation on the Upper Springfield Road in Belfast.
"The road remains closed at Hannahstown Hill and Monagh bypass.
"There are no further details at present."
