Derry City and Strabane District Council has announced that four new pieces of wheelchair-friendly equipment are being installed at the play area in Brooke Park, Derry-Londonderry.
The contractor, All Play Ireland LTD was on site last week landscaping, assembling and installing the new components.
The children's play area will be getting a swing, carousel, see-saw and a hexagonal plate; which are all suitable for wheelchair users.
Inductions will be required for people to use the swing, however the other pieces will be open to all members of the public.
The work is due to be completed next week and the play area will be open to the public once the new turfing is firmly established within the play area.
