The 12 Danske Bank Premiership teams enter the Northern Ireland League Cup on Tuesday night.

There are 16 second round ties with senior sides seeded to face Championship or Premier Intermediate League opponents.

Cup holders Ballymena welcome Knockbreda to the Showgrounds.

The Sky Blues are aiming for their first win of the season after only managing a single point in four Premiership fixtures.

Here's the club captain, Jim Ervin.

Last season's beaten finalists, Carrick Rangers, are at home to Dergview.

Glentoran go to Loughgall aiming to avoid a repeat of their shock defeat in the competition last August, also in County Armagh - against Annagh United.

Manager Alan Kernaghan resigned within hours.

New Glens signing Robbie McDaid, who scored twice against Glenavon on Friday night, is wary of the threat posed.

Glenavon have Donegal Celtic at Mourneview Park.

Leading scorer Andrew Mitchell says they'll need to keep a close on former Derry City and Glentoran striker Stephen O'Flynn.

It's a decade since Linfield last won the competition - they have a home tie against Lisburn Distillery, winners in 2011.

The Whites have hit hard times since then, but are enjoying a revival this season and sit top of the Premier Intermediate League with three wins from three.

David Healy's men also have a 100 per cent record and he has his eyes on the prize that eluded his treble-winning team last season.

Most of the ties start at 7.45 with the exception of Ballinamallard against Tobermore which has an 8pm kick-off.
