Derry City and Strabane district Councillors have voted unanimously in favour of a £15 million hotel at the historic Ebrington Square site in Derry/Londonderry.
The application for the 152 bed hotel, will transform an original barracks building and create 100 new jobs.
Incoming Mayor of Derry City and Strabane, Councillor John Boyle told Q Radio the development will change the face of the city:
The hotel will boast a new leisure spa, function, meeting room, restaurant and bar facilities, with associated ancillary areas and site works to facilitate access and servicing.
