A man in his 40s has been left with what are believed to be life-changing facial and head injuries after a road traffic collision in Belfast.
The crash happened on the Ballysillan Road at around 3:15am this morning.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital for treatment to his severe injuries, which aren't believed to be life-threatening at this time.
A 29-year-old driver has been arrested and she is in custody assisting police with their enquiries.
Inspector James Murphy has said, "we would appeal for anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have captured footage on dashcam to contact officers on 101 quoting reference number 288 of 22/4/18."
The Ballysillan Road has now reopened.
