9 people arrested on Monday remain in police custody for continued questioning by officers investigating the New IRA.
At a court sitting yesterday, a judge gave the PSNI's Terrorism Investigation Unit a further 52 hours to question the 7 men and 2 women who were arrested as part of Operation Arabica.
The group, aged between 26 and 50, are to remain for questioning at Musgrave Serious Crime Suite in Belfast.
The operation on Monday was supported by An Garda Siochana who carried out six searches at locations in Dublin, Laois, Cork and Kerry.”
