Detectives in Antrim are investigating after a man in his 40's was serious assaulted at a bar in Doagh.
Around 6pm on Wednesday 15th March a group of men entered the bar on Main Street, armed weapons including hammers and baseball bats and attacked him.
Police believe the men then fled on foot to waiting cars. The victim was taken to hospital where he's being treated for serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
Follow up enquiries and searches have led to the arrests of six men aged between 24 and 38, who all remain in custody at this time.
The PSNI investigation is ongoing and any witnesses to the assault or the group of men in the area of the bar, or anyone with any information,
is urged to contact detectives in Antrim on 101 quoting reference number '982 15/03/17'.
