An assault rifle and a quantity of ammunition has been seized in North Belfast.
It was among a number of weapons recovered from searches on the Antrim Road yesterday evening.
The searches were carried out by the specialist PSNI unit set up as a 'Paramilitary task force'.
Police say a number of items have been taken away for forensic examination.
There are no further details.
Detectives from the Paramilitary Crime Task Force carried out a search in the area of the Antrim Road in north Belfast today and recovered a quantity of weapons and munitions including an assault rifle.
