Ballymena traders want key Public Realm Scheme postponed

Ballymena traders are pressing for a key aspect of the town's £4 million Public Realm Scheme  to be postponed  until the New Year.

Church Street needs to be closed to traffic many weeks for repaving 

and to allow the installation of a new sculpture at the Bandstand.

At a town centre meting last week the traders firmly rejected two other options where the work would take place before Christmas.
