Mid and East Antrim Mayor Audrey Wales says she's ‘disappointed’ regeneration powers won't be transferred from Stormont to councils as planned.

But she's confident the Executive will continue to work with councils 'to deliver local solutions'.

The Mayor met Communities Minister, Paul Givan, in Ballymena yesterday, specifically about ungoing plans to

develop Saint Patrick’s Barracks site.

But she now hopes to include 'close cooperation' with his Department on 'related matters'.
