The bodies of a father and son have been recovered from a Lough in Co. Donegal by police, it has been confirmed.
Gardaí began a search and rescue operation after being alerted to an incident at Lough Keel, Kilmacrennan, at 3 pm yesterday.
Rescue 118 helicopter, the Mulroy Coastguard and Sheephaven Sub-Aqua Unit were called to assist in the search.
The body of a man has been recovered in a search and rescue operation at Lough Keel in Co. Donegal. It is understood the man was German. Two people had been reported missing. Divers are now searching for the second person.

Two male bodies, one aged in his 40s and one a teenager, were recovered from the Lough and taken to Letterkenny University Hospital where post-mortems are expected to take place.
One teenage boy was also rescued and taken to Letterkenny University Hospital where he is receiving treatment.
It is understood the three males involved in this incident are all family members and not from Ireland.
