Coleraine may soon get a 'Business Improvement District' to help regenerate the town and boost its night-time economy.
A BID is a defined area in which a levy is charged on all business rate payers in addition to their business rates bill.
This is then used to develop projects benefiting local businesses.
A number of BIDs have been set up across Northern Ireland, including Ballymena in 2015.

Causeway Coast and Glens Councillor Richard Holmes says traders who pay in to BID schemes have more clout.
