A man in his 50s has been shot in the leg in north Belfast.
Police say he was attacked in Lepper Street just before 10pm last night and has been treated in hospital.
Councillor JJ Magee is urging anyone with information to come forward...
He says the incident has stunned a community already suffering under the strain of the Covid-19 crisis...

Sinn Féin councillor JJ Magee has condemned the shooting of a man in the New Lodge area of North Belfast.
Cllr Magee said:
“I absolutely condemn the shooting of a man in the New Lodge.
“Actions like this have no place in our society.
“At a time when all frontline statutory agencies and indeed communities are doing what they can to fight against Covid-19 this just adds to the suffering unfortunately being experienced by local people at this time.
“Anyone with information about this incident should bring it immediately to the PSNI.”
