£10 000 has been set aside by Council to promote the Gobbins Cliff Path at an event in the United States.
That's despite the attraction being closed for over half of its first year in business.
Four councillors and an official are currently over at an Irish festival in Milwaukee.
But Mid and East Borough Council insists that the trip is good value for the ratepayer.
