An action group for Daisy Hill's planned a second meeting with the Southern Health and Social Care Trust.
Last week the Trust described the hospital's Emergency Department as 'vulnerable' and hinted at its short-term shutdown.
It's because there aren't enough senior emergency staff there - it's being run by locum doctors.
Spokesperson for Daisy Hill Hospital Action Group, Francis Gallagher, told Q Radio that the first meeting was to thrash out the situation in detail, the second will focus on possible solutions to the staffing crisis.
