The funeral took place on Saturday of one of the six Newbridge brothers who played for Derry in the 1940s and 50s.
Roddy Gribbin was 92. His funeral took place at St Trea's.
He was part of the 1944 Derry side that won the Ulster Junior Football Championship by beating Armagh. The team was denied the chance to play in the All Ireland semi-final because of the travel restrictions imposed during the Second World War.
