Drink or drug driving arrests in the Newry, Mourne and Down over the Christmas period have dropped.
Last year's PSNI figures show 53 arrests were made, this year's figure is 39.
Across Northern Ireland, arrests fell by 4%.
Newry-based officer Graham Offor says the drivers must never take the risk:
