A driver has been left badly shaken after a masked gang armed with pick-axes attacked their car in Carrickfergus.
It happened as the victim was driving along the Larne Road around 5pm yesterday evening.
The gang attacked the black Passatt causing extensive damage to the vehicle.
A short time later at around 8pm, four masked men armed with a hammer damaged a house in the Blackthorn Park area of the town.
A 50 year-old man was arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary a short time later.
Police are working to establish if the two incidents are linked.

Police would appeal to anyone with any information to contact them on 101, quoting reference number 1243 28/04/20.
