It's 50 years since the first member of the UDR was murdered in the Troubles.
On the 9th of August 1971, Private Winston Donnell from Urney in County Tyrone - was gunned down while manning a checkpoint at Clady, close to the Donegal border.
During the years of the conflict, 197 UDR members were killed - with a further 61 veterans murdered after they had resigned or retired.
No-one has been convicted of the killing and the Donnell family say they feel let down by the government's proposed statute of limitations which they believe will give his killers an effective amnesty.
Mr. Donnell's sister Audrey Robinson says she feels betrayed by the government.
Kenny Donaldson from the Victims Group SEFF says those like Private Donnell who was stolen away from his family - should be honoured:
