The old Foyle College building in Derry-Londonderry has been destroyed in an overnight fire.
Last night police warned homeowners in the area to close their windows and doors because of the high levels of asbestos in the building.
The school had been laying vacant since January.
Station Officer Clive Lowry and his crew are still at Foyle College #Derry dealing with last night’s blaze which destroyed the school. He says the threat of asbestos to nearby homes is not as bad as originally thought and warned young people to think about their actions pic.twitter.com/1MrL1DK8Br

Local councillor Eric MgGinley's told Q Radio the school's been targeted in a number of vandalism attacks recently:
