Established civil servants are being barred from transferring to government jobs in Ballymena.

Many Child Support Agency staff working in Belfast can't apply for new Universal Credit jobs in Ballymena, which could go to temps.

It's because some Child Support Agency departments have no surplus employees to spare.

MLA Paul Frew has written in protest to the Department of Communities Permanent Secretary..

He says a planned new computer system at the Child Support Agency changes the issue:
