There are calls for joyriders, who are putting lives at risk, to put an end to the "madness".
It's after a car was wrecked in Jonesborough last Monday in a crash, it was the only vehicle involved.
Slieve Gullion councillor, Mickey Larkin says residents have complained of racing and dangerous and they won't tolerate it any longer.
He is condemning those responsible, "Residents in the area are disturbed by the actions of joyriders on the surrounding roads last Sunday night.
“Lives are being put at risk by reckless behaviour of this kind. This community could likely see another road tragedy if those pursuing this madness do not desist from their anti-community activities."
He added, "A car is a lethal weapon in the wrong hands, and maturity and respect for the local community is absent from those pursuing these actions."
