Lisdillon Road outside Derry/Londonderry has now fully reopened.
It follows the discovery of a quantity of ammunition in the area last night.
Police were called to the area shortly after 5.30pm yesterday evening after a suspicious object was discovered in the area.
Ammunition has now been removed for further examination.
