A man armed with a knife has threatened a shop-worker in Dunmurry.
It happened in the Broom Park area just before half 10 this morning.
Police say the man - who had his face covered - forced the woman to give him money and cigarettes.
A 19 year old man has been arrested in connection with the incident on suspicion of robbery.
Detective Sergeant Sam McCallum said:
"We received a report at approximately 10:20am that a male with his face covered had entered the premises in Broom Park and used a knife to threaten a female staff member into giving him money and cigarettes before ordering her into a back room as he fled the scene.
"This afternoon, detectives arrested a 19-year-old male on suspicion of robbery and he is currently in custody assisting us with our enquiries.
"The female staff member was not physically injured, but there is no doubt she has been left distressed by what can only be described as an extremely frightening ordeal which occurred in her place of work where she was simply doing her job.
