A 28 year old man has been killed in an explosion at a house in County Louth.
It happened at The Cottages in the Beaulie area of Drogheda shortly after midnight.
After arriving at the scene fire and emergency services extinguished the fire at the house.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene and a post mortem is due to be carried out on his remains today
A man in his 50's and a woman in her 20's were brought to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.
Their conditions are described as serious but non-life threatening
The scene is still preserved and Gardai say they haven't established what caused the explosion, it's believed though it may have been a boiler in the house
Technical teams will examine the scene, and the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
