A man is due in court accused of dousing a neighbour in an accelerant and attempting to set him alight.
The 29-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
The incident happened at around 3.30pm on Tuesday afternoon on Silverstream Avenue in north Belfast.
The man who was targeted managed to evade his attacker.
The accused is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates' Court on Wednesday morning.
