A man has been treated in hospital after being beaten by a group of men, one of whom was armed with a metal bar in east Belfast.
It happened in playing fields off Parkgate Gardens jus after 3am on Monday.
PSNI officers and NIAS attended the scene before the victim, who is in his 20s was transferred to hospital.
He was treated for injuries including bruising to his face and legs.
Detective Sergeant Moore said, "We are working to establish a motive for this attack. I would appeal to anyone with information or who witnessed the incident to contact us on 101, quoting reference number 316 of 13/07/20.”
