A man in his 60s is in a critical condition after an incident outside a bar on the Shankill Road in Belfast.
Police say he sustained his injuries outside the premises sometime on Friday night and was hospitalised in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Detective Sergeant Dougherty said:
"We received a report just after 3:15am on Saturday that a man, aged in his 60s, had sustained injuries outside a licensed premises on the Shankill Road sometime on Friday night.
"The man attended hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding this incident and we are appealing for anyone with information that could assist our investigation to please get in touch.
"If you have dash cam footage please call 101 quoting the reference number 225 05/02/22."
