Five men have been arrested after a stabbing incident in Belfast .
An 18-year-old man was taken to hospital after the incident in Lagan-Bank Road last night. His condition is described as serious.
Police received a call alerting them to the incident at approximately 11.45pm and responded to the scene.
Five men aged, 21, 24, 31, 35 and 47 remain in police custody.
Detective Inspector Paul Wright said: “I would specifically like to appeal to anyone who was on the bridge at East Bridge Street last night at around 11.30pm /11.45pm and saw four males running across it to contact Detectives at Musgrave.
"They may have information that could assist us with our enquiries. I would also appeal to anyone who has any information about this incident to contact us also.
"Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
