Detectives are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery at commercial premises on the Fernisky Road in Kells last night, Thursday 23 March.
Shortly before 7.45pm it was reported that a man, armed with a knife, entered the premises and demanded money from the female member of staff. He made off with a sum of cash. He is described as being approximately 5’10” tall, of medium build and was wearing a black hooded top, blue jeans and had a navy scarf covering his face. The female member of staff was not injured but left shaken by her ordeal.
Detectives are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to contact detectives in Ballymena Reactive and Organised Crime Branch on 101, quoting reference 1045 of 23/03/17.
